About Kandace Cahill

Kandace Cahill, DiplOM, L.Ac., is board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in acupuncture and Chinese herbology and licensed by the state of Colorado. She graduated with a Master’s of Science in Oriental Medicine from the 4-year program at Southwest Acupuncture College, in Boulder, Colorado, and completed a clinical internship in herbal medicine at the China-Japan Friendship Hospital in Beijing, China. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM) from Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland, Oregon with an expected completion date of September 2012.

Kandace is a member of the Acupuncture Association of Colorado (AAC) and the American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (AAAOM).   Prior to her training in Chinese medicine, Kandace served as a labor and delivery nurse assistant and maintained a private massage practice with specialization in prenatal and postnatal massage, pelvic disorders, and trauma and abuse recovery.

In addition to treating her patients, Kandace also spends a great deal of time writing for scholarly publications. To date, she has published one case study in a peer-reviewed journal and translated Chinese articles. Read her article in The American Acupuncturist - A Benign Complex Ovarian Cyst Treated with Traditional Chinese Medicine: A Case Study. She is currently in the process of writing a book for TCM practitioners on the integrated treatment of polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS).
